Today, January 29, 2021, is the Multicultural Children’s Book Day (MCBD). Late last year, I came across MCBD through one of the Facebook groups for local parents and immediately identified with its mission: raising awareness for children’s books that celebrate diversity AND getting these books into classrooms and libraries. This year, in celebration of MCBD, I am proud to be a reviewer for three books published by Tuttle Publishing: Chinese Children’s Favorite Stories, Folk Tales from Japan, and Legends of the Martial Arts. I look forward to reading and reviewing more children/young adult books that celebrate diversity!
